Ingredients in Rotel Dip
With only 4 ingredients this couldn’t be easier! You can switch up this recipe in so many different ways, you are going to love all of the combinations! You can find the exact measurements below in the recipe card.
Ground Beef: I like to use lean ground beef but you can also use ground turkey if you want to make this a little healthier. Taco Seasoning: I love my homemade Taco Seasoning, but you can also use store-bought. Rotel Tomatoes: A can of Rotel is canned tomatoes with green chiles, which adds just a touch of spice. Do not drain the can; you want all of those juices! When you buy the Rotel, pick the heat level based on your preference (milk, medium, or hot). You can also use salsa if you prefer that instead. Velveeta Cheese: This is what creates that delicious and creamy base for the dip!
How to Make Rotel Dip
This dip is made all in the same pot, which is why it’s so easy to make and clean up. I’m in love with quick and easy game day dips! Done in no time and served warm, you’ll be the hero of appetizers.
Change the Meat: instead of ground beef, you can use ground turkey, chicken or you can spice it up with chorizo (ground sausage). Make it vegetarian by leaving out the meat by using beans instead! Thin It Out: If you notice your dip is too thick you can thin it out with some milk. Do this one tablespoon at a time until it reaches the desired consistency.
