How To Make This Easy Creamed Spinach Recipe
Variations
Use fresh spinach or baby spinach in place of frozen. Simply wilt the spinach in a large pot first, then proceed. Use onion in place of shallots. Add a pinch of cayenne for spice.
Note
Boursin can be found in the cheese section of most supermarkets. If you can’t find it, light cream cheese or Laughing Cow could work as a replacement.
Leftover Ideas
Top it with mozzarella cheese, heat it in the microwave or oven to make a spinach dip. Make oysters Rockefeller using this method. Stuff a chicken breast with the leftovers and roll it up for chicken rollatini.
Storage
Leftovers can be refrigerated in an airtight container up to 4 days or frozen up to 3 months.
