  1. Now add asafoetida (hing) and cumin seeds. Saute for 30 seconds. (Image 2)
  2. Add ginger, garlic, and green chilies. Saute for 45-60 seconds. (Image 3)
  3. Now add onions and season with salt. Cook the onions down for 4 minutes. (Image 4)
  4. Add the ground spices – turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, and Kashmiri chili powder. Saute for a minute. (Image 6)

You can also pair this with some Jeera Rice. Then add the fresh spinach and cook with the potatoes for about 5-8 minutes. Cook the spinach and potatoes without a lid.
